Eat Your Heart Out Diet | Day 4

Day 4: Bananas and Milk/Yogurt

Start Weight: 135lbs

Current Weight: 128lbs

Total Weight Loss in 3 Days: 7lbs of water

I like milk and yogurt. I like bananas. It wasn’t terrible, but I can’t eat 8 bananas. I ate 4 bananas and 4 cups of nonfat Greek yogurt. My coworker who just finished the Satan Diet even surprised me by leaving Greek yogurt and bananas at my desk today. I’m still very lethargic and look sickly, but the headache has gone away. I only wanted to kill a few people today, so it was sort of a success.

Eat Your Heart Out Diet | Day 3

The caption pretty much sums up today.

At work all I ate was fruit; mangos, strawberries, necatrines, cantaloupe, plums.

But then I had to go out to dinner with relatives who were visiting from out of town. Summer salad with spinach, walnuts, goat cheese and apples. Plus a baked potato.

Start Weight: 135lbs

Current Weight: 129lbs

Total Weight Loss in 3 Days: 6lbs of water

Despite cheating today with the goat cheese, walnuts, and the baked potato, I feel exhausted. I have no energy. And I’m so fucking irritable. Today = fail.

I’m going to sleep.

The Eat Your Heart Out Diet | Day 2 – Dinner

Day Two Continued: Dinner! I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that I feel “so refreshed”, “full of energy”, or “motivated”. I want to die. No joke, I’m starving. I have no energy. I’m grouchy. I would kill for a burrito. If I stumbled across someone eating a burrito, I would kill them for it. Literally.

But no. I’m awake. And I’m starving.

Can today just be over already?

I’ve never been this excited for fruit.

Fuck vegetables. That’s all.

Ginger Concoction

I probably should have mentioned this before, but I am consuming caffeine on this “cleanse”. I regularly drink a ginger root concoction.

It’s been the highlight of my day so far.

Ginger Green Tea Cinnamon Lemon Cayenne Pepper

  • Chopped Ginger Root
  • Bag of Green Tea
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Lemon Juice
  • Cinnamon
  • Honey

The tea is both refreshing and has supposed health benefits; fat-blasting properties. The green tea contains nutrients that help block fat absorption. And both the tea and ginger help raise metabolism and help your body utilize carbs more efficiently. But you’ve probably heard this all before.

In all actuality, I don’t think it aids weight loss much. Flavor-wise, I think it’s actually quite delicious. It warms me up and I feel energized from drinking it. Since I’ve been drinking this tea, I haven’t been sick in months. Also, my hair stopped falling out, my skin is clearer, a gum issue completely disappeared… Clearly I’m a supporter of this tea. You’d be crazy not to give it a shot.

The Eat Your Heart Out Diet | Day 2

Day TwoStepped on the scale this morning. Unsurprisingly, it read 132lbs – a three pound loss. A noticeable amount of bloating subsided, so I felt comfortable enough to take a few pictures.

I actually ❤ my body.

I have an awesome pear-shape-thing going on. But…

Anyways, it’s veggies day and I haven’t even left bed yet… because I absolutely loathe vegetables. I’m unbelievably hungry. My biggest fear of leaving these comfy constraints is that’ll I’ll gorge on the pizza in the fridge. Wish me luck?

Day Two Post-Bed: Did I already mention that I hate vegetables? Raw, steamed, sauteed, boiled, whatever. I fucking hate vegetables.

Eat Your Heart Out Diet

So this is breakfast… or lunch… or whatever.

My first mistake was eating it raw. I figured it would be like those veggie dipping plates they have at office parties. And I can sort of bear those. Well, let me tell you… it’s not the same without the ranch dressing. Can I just have fruit again, please?

The Eat Your Heart Out Diet | Day 1

Same Shit, Different Diet.

My household is regularly stocked with fresh produce that often goes to waste, so I figured I’d give this “diet” a shot. I’ve tried other variations of the cabbage soup cleanse before and always lost some poundage… so here we go.

Day One Pre-Cleanse Eve: Weighing in at a whopping 135lbs on my 5′ frame. Today was my first attempt at this diet. I ate fruit throughout the day.

But everything was ruined when I opened the fridge.

Day OneFruit Day! Well, I didn’t think this day would be so bad. I woke up and immediately ate a small mixed bowl of nectarines, strawberries and cherries. Later, I added cantaloupe and plums for some variety. Scarfed down several small bowls throughout the day. There we’re many times I was tempted to just grab a doughnut or a piece of salami, but I did not stray. The only other side effect, besides the temptation, was a headache later in the evening.
